Yet study more carefully. You'll discover these provisions were based upon some individual relationships. "And I will bring you into the land concerning which I lifted up my hand and swore that I would give it to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and I will give it to you for a heritage. I am the Lord [you have the pledge of My changeless omnipotence and faithfulness]." (Exodus 6:8 AMP) This assures us of the emphasis God places on an individual/personal relationship with Him.
As you study the New Testament you'll notice a concentrated effort on this aspect of one's faith walk. Although illustrated vividly through the lives of people in the Old Testament, Jesus places a spotlight on this imperative portion of our belief. Time and again we are reminded of the responsibility each of us has. As a point of reference study 1 Corinthians 3:13;12:14-19. (That means you need to pick up your bible now)
Jesus didn't die for the sins of the world. Jesus died for YOUR sins. That's right. Little ol' you. Take it in, process that. All the ridicule, every lash, each nail, all the suffering was just for YOU. Without looking at it in this manner it's almost impossible to grasp the true condition all of us suffer from. The depth and width of separation sin places between God and ourselves. AMEN?
In closing, strengthen your personal relationship with Him by meditating on this; Hebrews 2:9 (AMP) "But we are able to see Jesus, Who was ranked lower than the angels for a little while, crowned with glory and honor because of His having suffered death, in order that by the grace (unmerited favor) of God [to us sinners] He might experience death for every individual person." (emphasis my own). I love you all, individually...and so does He.
