To the Mother's, maybe you're trying to get on the right track. Maybe you're trying to be the woman God has called you to be me. That is to be commended. I encourage you to continue striving, and in His time He will make all things right. AMEN?
You might be asking yourself why I am making this distinction. To many of you the term Mother and Mommy are interchangeable. Not in Brother Adryann's heart, and that is the name of the meditation....correct? Loosen up family, it's Friday, I'm sure the week has done it's level best to tear you down. Yet, God is faithful.
Any woman who carries a child is a Mother. That doesn't necessarily make her a Mommy. A Mommy is there day to day. A Mommy puts her children right after her husband and God. A Mommy values her children and family more than a paycheck. A Mommy is present, and will remove anything in her life that prevents her from being. A Mommy knows that when she has a child, that child comes first on her list of responsibilities. A Mommy is out there with the water gun, and in there with that switch. A Mommy is a force of nature used by God to teach us the meaning of unconditional love. A Mommy doesn't buy her children, she invests her time in to them.
A Mommy knows the birthday of all of your closest friends, and doesn't hesitate to use her switch on them either.
A Mommy is a doctor. A Mommy is a financial counselor. A Mommy is a drill instructor, and the greatest motivational speaker EVER! A Mommy won't let you give up, a Mommy walks every step of the way with you. A Mommy cries when you do well, and encourages you to do better even when you've broken her heart. A Mommy knows, just because she knows. A Mommy is amazing! Do you know one? Show her some love this weekend. If you've had some issues with your Mommy, make amends. Do something with your Mommy that your Mommy will love....spend some time with her. AMEN.
I searched and searched for scripture to go with this message. A passage that expresses a Mommy's love for her child. Only one so vividly displayed the lengths a Mommy will go to for her child. Take a read. Meditate on it. 1Kings 3:16-27. Gotta go, my Mommy expects me to be all He's called me to be. Next week family. LOVE YA!!!!
