So, today's text is Proverbs 31:8-9 (NKJV); "Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of those who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy." Absolutely love this passage family. LOVE IT. It so simply captures some topics close to my heart. Yet that's not important, it reveals topics close to God's heart. These are all things that YOU can do, that YOU should be doing if indeed you're a child of the King. Amen. How many things are happening in our world that we know are outside of His will? Maybe it doesn't seem this way to you, sure seems to me as though the enemy is fervently pursuing our babies. These babies who don't even realize what's happening, and even if they do don't know how to speak up on their own behalf. Yet, we say nothing about it. How many people do we see dying due to addiction, anorexia, or some mental illness, homelessness? Yet how many of us have our feet on the ground advocating on their behalf.
Open your mouth, judge righteously......get it? You thought I just picked some crazy title didn't you. LOL. No, I'm not that bright y'all. Everything comes directly from Him, and I praise Him for it. Judge righteously. It's that simple. When you see things going on that are contrary to His will......SAY SOMETHING PEOPLE. Don't just sit by, that makes you just as guilty. Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV) states : "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter." That is exactly what we do when we don't speak out, and do something about the wickedness of this world. Then we have the nerve to wonder why the ways of the world seep in to our homes. Hmmmm? Come on people. There's a reason He told Adam to "subdue the earth". The problem right now is the folks opening their mouth don't have a drop of righteousness in them, thus the reason why we're dealing with so much foolishness in this world. AMEN? Therefore their judgment has been compromised, their influence is compromised, and those they influence end up compromising. See the pattern? Righteousness can not be compromised. Period. If it is, then it is no longer righteousness. There is only one kind of righteousness, and it's divine. AMEN? It provides us with the ability to delineate right from wrong and be able to make good judgment. So when we do open our mouth, it's magnifies Him and edifies each other.
Last piece, then I'll let you get back to fighting family. Now I'm intimately aware of the poor and needy, I am poor and needy. This isn't just talking about those in financial straits. No, it also refers to those who are emotionally broken. Saddled with stress. Everyone of us in one way or another falls in to this category. That, if nothing else, should motivate us to plead their cause. Because we should all be able to relate. AMEN. Do you though? Do you speak up for them? Are you being a voice for the voiceless? Are you walking in the authority bestowed upon you? Or are you just keeping your CONVICTED conscious to yourself? I encourage you today to actively go forth and OPEN YOUR MOUTH. If it's wrong, call it wrong. If it needs to be addressed, address it. Study the Gospels, take note of what Jesus did. Here's a hint.....that's what you're supposed to be doing. He didn't allow wrongs to "miss Him", He addressed it. So open your mouth, put it out there. Hopefully it'll strengthen another, and another, and another. Then pretty soon, the world will take notice of what God is saying in and through our lives. All we got to do is...open our mouth. He's already given us the words.
