God can use whatever means He deems necessary to bring about His Word. Amen? To say that the political powers at hand are not being used would be naïve. Indeed, the current cast of world leaders are instrumental in this drama we are witnessing. Understand that what we are seeing is much deeper than a cultural disagreement, it is the manifestation of the spiritual battle that has raged since The Fall.
In my humble opinion, I would love for peace to be the outcome of this situation. My faith assures me that peace will indeed be the culmination. Yet, before that peace is achieved there will be much strife. Many innocents will not only die a physical death, even more will suffer a spiritual death. This is not just the Palestinians, Israelites as well. We will all be judged by intent of the heart. Not that I have been to Israel and conducted any extensive interviews of their leadership, yet wisdom is applicable in this case. Purity of heart is an illusion for men. Definitely something we want to allow Him to make possible in us, yet many never do.
Some at the head of this conflict are merely being religious, yet insist their standing behind their faith. All of you know those type of people. Use the Word to justify their every deed and action. Yet, that deed/action is not justified by the Word. All I hear is that classic song by Earth, Wind, and Fire....."Way of the World". Tragic, tragic, tragic.
Still, I pray for Israel, because the Word instructs me to. I do not pray for their peace, I do pray for their protection. I do not pray for their leadership, I do pray that the Father lead them. I do pray for the Palestinians. I pray for their protection, and that The Lord may do a mighty work in their lives. I pray for this world. That this world may open it's eyes and turn back towards The True and Living God. I pray these conflicts help us to focus on that which is truly important.
My apologies to any whom think this is not the proper forum to discuss politics. Oddly, I encourage you to truly take an inventory of this conflict and realize it's not politics. Not in the least. Here's a verse to meditate on. "The Lord is their strength, And He is the saving refuge of His anointed. Save Your people, And bless Your inheritance; Shepherd them also, And bear them up forever." (Psalms 28:8-9 NKJV) Yes Father, have Your way. Preserve Your anointed. Love all of you...until next week....
